World of Nukes progression guide: weapons and defenses
Learn what you can build and use as your island country grows, from missiles, jets and warships to anti-air, shields and later progression unlocks.
Build up your World of Nukes island with strike options and protection against enemy nukes. Your country starts as a small island camp; the broad goal is to grow it into a larger power while keeping the island standing.
You have three ways to deliver strikes:
- Missiles: Place them on your island, choose a target and fire. This gives you an attack option launched from the island itself.
- Jets: Fly a jet yourself to deliver strikes. Choose this option when you want to pilot the aircraft carrying out the attack.
- Warships: Command warships to send strikes, giving you another way to direct an attack.

For protection, build anti-air and shields to help your island survive enemy nukes. These serve the defensive side of country growth, so include protection as you expand your offensive options. See the island defense guide for a closer look at defending your country.
As you progress, you can also unlock wonders. The Doomsday Device is a late progression unlock, making it a longer-term goal while you develop your island.
